This aftermarket Rancilio bottomless or naked portafilter features an inclined walnut wood handle and was specifically designed to fit to Rancilio home line including the Silvia, Epoca 1 Group and Promac Club.

Taste the difference a portafilter can make. The Barista can watch the coffee brew right from the bottom of the filter basket and immediately know if channeling occurs, signaling that a level tamp was not made, which makes this an invaluable tool for training.  Most Bottomless portafilters will accept 21 gram triple baskets since portafilter body depth is no longer an issue. This item comes standard with a 58mm 21 gram triple basket, but will also accept any other "standard" sized portafilter basket.

Not quite a Rancilio

Very nice handle and seems like good quality overall.

That said, it does require much more clamping down on the grouphead than a Rancilio brand portafilter to avoid leaking. I'm using a VST basket, so that's not the issue, same as with the Rancilio double portafilter. Not a deal breaker, but I might have to have to replace the gasket a little more ofter.

Great. Lighter than expected

Beautiful, handle little bit fragile. Easy to unscrew. Basket is great quality. The porta filter leak for me but perhaps is my old seal.

Great portafilter

This is a nice option for the Silvia. It allows you to critique your work but, I also like the ability to put a taller cup under the grouphead for making americano coffee. It was very hard to find the flaw with this being ‘scratch and dent’ and it works perfectly, and looks fantastic!
